Countdown to Nordic Polymer Days 2012
The Danish Society for Polymer Technology is organizing the 49th Nordic Polymer Days, 29-31 May 2012 in Copenhagen.
Nordic Polymer Days is the key annual conference where researchers and professionals get together to discuss new technologies and innovations within polymer science and engineering. For nearly 50 years NPD has generated fruitful collaborations and valuable networks between participants from both Academia and Industry.
The conference will focus on
• Plenary lectures from renowned professors on a variety of key polymer-related topics
• Oral presentations and poster sessions on the latest research
• Exhibition area, including e.g. analytical equipment
• Networking events, including “Polytech Speed dating”
NPD is an appreciated opportunity for master and PhD students to present their current work on polymer-related issues. Not only is it a unique chance for young researchers to meet the established polymer community, it is also a great opportunity for companies to gauge the market for new technologies and employees.
It is crucial for the next generation of Nordic polymer scientists to elaborate its network within the Nordic polymer industry. Therefore, as part of the networking activity, a new concept will be introduced at NPD 2012: “Polytech speed dating”. This is an event where participants can meet face to face under informal conditions and discuss polymer matters and assignments and how they might assist each other. This is also a great chance for companies to talk to potential candidates.
In order to strengthen the benefits of the Academia-Industry relationship, both parties are encouraged to participate and in particular to contribute actively to the scientific program by means of presentations.
We also plan to host an exhibition during NPD 2012 featuring among other relevant subjects analytical equipment.
