Design Thinking in English

Streamline your innovative processes and create better products or more efficient workflows with Design Thinking.

Learn how to work effectively with innovation

With Design Thinking you can structure and optimize the innovative processes in your organisation and isolate/identify potential challenges and problems faster, find the right solution, and test them in practice. It offers you a competitive advantage, regardless of whether your goal is to further develop a product, a service or to create more optimal processes in your organisation. Design Thinking, as a method, is a perfect match for Agile / Scrum, GVSprint and Scaled Agile, but it is also compatible with more traditional development models such as Stage-Gate and the Waterfall model.

During the course you will get a hands-on introduction to Design Thinking and a deep understanding of how you can use the right methods to systematise the innovation process in specific contextualised frames. You will also get insights in how to manage innovation processes and implement design thinking initiatives, in your organisation.

Course Content
The toolbox for design thinking supports you in completing the individual phases and activities in a design process. The tools have many forms, but typically contain a combination of templates and instructions on how and under what conditions they should be used. During the course, we especially addressing:

  • Effective involvement and analysis of users, customers and domain experts.
  • Identification of insights and jobs-to-be-done from data.
  • Idea generation, prototyping / pretotyping and testing.
  • Assessment and development of business potential in ideas and concepts.
  • Definition and planning of minimum viable product (MVP).
  • Examples of these tools are: maturity test for design teams, need finding interviews, and user story mapping for MVP preparation.

The course is relevant for managers, project managers and specialists
