After the course you can work with Design Thinking
The purpose of the course is to enable you to start applying Design Thinking in your own organization. The teaching is organized so that you get a theoretical understanding of Design Thinking, and a practical introduction to how it can be implemented in the development of new products/services or more efficient workflows in your company.
The course is based on flipped learning and case-based teaching. Thus, before the course you get a detailed case description and a set of design thinking tool cards. In this way, the facetime in the course can focus on practical application and the Design Thinking, besides reflection on theory, method, analysis and practice. The course follows four steps:
Before the course: (self-study for 2-3 hours):
You will receive preparatory course material, consisting of a detailed case description and a set of Design Thinking tool cards.
Module 1: Introduction to Design Thinking and the tools and implementation of a full design process.
Training assignment: After module 1, the participants must prepare a home assignment that consists of developing, planning and implementing Design Thinking in their own company. The homework must be presented in module 2.
Module 2: Learning about the implementation, adaptation and management of Design Thinking in various practical contexts and presentation of the participants' training assignment.
