Aligning Goals and Outcomes in LCA
Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) have gained increasing interest over the past couple of years as a way to assess and document sustainability performance objectively across sectors … but are they?

LCA is used for various purposes, from compliance, reporting, and communication to strategic decision-making support, both internally and externally in organisations. With guidelines, standards and demands like Product Environmental Footprint (PEF), Product Category Rules (PCR), GHG Protocol, Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), digital product passports etc., the area of LCA could quickly become blurred while aiming to create clarity and mutual data for guidance towards sustainable options.
Therefore, this very first event in this newly established networking group will present a first draft for a decision tree for LCAs, unfolding the application areas and purposes of LCA. Further, we will discuss how to disseminate the scope, methodology, and results of an LCA to decision makers.
