Careers at IDA

IDA is a trade union for engineers, IT professionals and natural science graduates. We have around 175,000 members and approximately 350 employees.

IDA as a workplace

There are approximately 350 employees at IDA. We provide expert advice and support to IDA's more than 175,000 members. In this way, we help to ensure the best possible conditions in the labour market for engineers and other highly educated people with a technical and scientific background.

One of IDA's strongest assets is the many networks that members can utilise. We work with servicing and developing IDA's technical societies and committees, including network meetings, social and cultural events, technical courses, personal development courses and conferences.

Flexibility

Providing service and advice to our members is the most important thing in a busy working day, and it requires skilled and competent employees. That is why we need to be both flexible and mobile.

In most jobs at IDA, you have the flexibility to plan your daily working hours, both in terms of time and location. We work in open-plan offices with the option of quiet rooms for concentration.

Development

Employees and managers regularly agree on skills development that takes into account both the tasks, goals and strategies of the individual department and the employee's need for development. The aim is to maintain – and preferably increase – the employee's value in the labour market during their employment at IDA.

Skills development is planned individually and flexibly, and we attach great importance to development taking place through:

Training and learning on the job through participation in projects, networking, collaboration with other colleagues across the organisation, new tasks and internal rotation.
Training and learning through internal and external courses.

Our ambition is that the interaction between targeted skills development and challenging tasks will help develop our employees so that they feel they are growing with the tasks and responsibilities that come with them.
