Private event for students of Quantum Information Science at KU and DTU

Join this talk with Alice & Bob for an inside look at fault-tolerant quantum computing with cat qubits!

It will be in the lunch break from 12-13 and lunch will of course be provided if you sign up!

Alice & Bob is a quantum computing company building fault-tolerant quantum computers from cat qubits, superconducting qubits engineered to suppress bit-flip errors exponentially. In this talk, the speaker will give a broad overview of Alice & Bob's hardware and architecture. She will then show how physical resource estimation is done in practice at a quantum computing company: how a target algorithm is translated first into logical gate counts, and then into the number of physical qubits and the runtime needed to run it. Along the way, she will discuss the assumptions and trade-offs that shape these estimates, and why they matter for guiding both algorithm and hardware design.
