This event celebrates 30 years of sensory science as a recognized research field in Denmark. Over these three decades, the field has evolved from a small community of researchers into a vibrant and internationally respected network.

This meeting is held to celebrate 30 years of Sensory Science as a research field in Denmark. During this time, we have grown from a small community of researchers into a vibrant and internationally respected network spanning major universities, research institutions, and industry partners.
Many candidates have been educated in sensory and consumer science and work now in the industry, research and education in Denmark and abroad. Denmark has been very active in developing new sensory methodology, sensometrics tools, understanding sensory properties of foods, and linking sensory science to other fields like nutrition, consumer and health research. Danmark has organized the Eurosense meeting and is the most active contributor to the Pangborn symposium, relative to its size.
Plenty of reasons to get together to celebrate and listen to some of the leading sensory scientists in Denmark. We will be looking back at the roots and cast perspectives on current research and the future of our field.
