The Brain
The brain is a white area on the map of the body. This is due to its position under the skull and the vulnerability of the brain itself.

This event will be streamed live, so if you are prevented from being at the actual location, you will be able to follow the course anyway. A link will be send out to all participants right before the event.
The brain is involved in everything we do - and not just in what we do consciously, but also in things like how the heart beats, how we breath and take the nutrients out of foods. Our personality is in the brain and injuries in different parts of the brain can have very different outcomes.
During this talk you will learn more about how the brain works, what happens when we communicate, talk, cry, and laugh. How do we see colors and what happens when we listen to music. How the brain learns and how we store memories. How the brain changes with age and what happens when the brain gets becomes ill.
Associate professor Åsa Fex Svenningsen will be your guide through the corridors of the brain, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions as well.
During the break refreshments will be served.
