Women In Space

IDA Space and Danish Astronautical Society are launching a new series of events - Women In Space! Women In Space will feature some of the impressive and leading women from various backgrounds across the space sector.  You will have the opportunity to hear about their career paths and their current research and work. Everyone is  welcome!

On June 25

, we are welcoming Anne Christine Steenkjær Hastrup director at Center for Bioresources at Danish Technological Institute she will share her career insights, and how a biologist ends up sending microalgae to space - perhaps a new space-diet for astronauts

Also, you will have the opportunity to meet Cecilie Strømsnes, Program Coordinator for the Danish Student CubeSat Program (DISCO). Cecilie will enlighten us about the DISCO-2 program and hetero share her personal experience with sending the DISCO-2 satellite into orbit as well as insights into her time at ESA Academy’s CubeSat summer school. 

Finally you will hear from Amalie Pernille Rasmussen, a chemical engineer currently working at ESA.
