Attendees will learn about state of the art solutions for precision machining including precision machine tools, thermal and mechanical errors, machining strategies, advanced analytical modelling tools, error suppression and error compensation strategies. During the course attendees will be introduced to the remote use of software tools for prediction of geometry and topography of machined surfaces. The course centres on developing a comprehensive understanding of the necessary conditions, tools and methods of Precision Machining and introducing the basics of Zero Defect Digital Manufacturing.
