The IDA fund: Do you have a good idea for an event?

IDA makes it possible for you, as an IDA member, to realise your ideas – whether it's an event, webinar, meetup or something else entirely.

By applying for support from IDA, you not only receive financial assistance, but also access to advice and practical assistance to ensure your event is a success.

With the IDA Fund behind you, you can create networks, share knowledge or strengthen the community within your area of interest.

As an applicant, it is your responsibility to develop and run the event. IDA contributes with support and advice, but it is you who drives the process from idea to reality.

Criteria for applying for support

To receive support, your event must meet the following requirements:

Relevance to IDA members

• The event must be relevant to IDA members and their professional or social interests.

Open access for IDA members

• The event must be open so that IDA members can be invited and participate, thereby contributing to the IDA community.

Focus of the event

The focus of the event should be either:

• Technical: Focusing on professional knowledge and technical insight.
• Skills-based: Strengthening members' professional or personal development.
• Social and cultural: Promoting networking and community.

Preparation time

• There must be a minimum of 3 months between the application date and the date of the event.

Responsibility for development and execution

• As the applicant, you are responsible for developing and executing the event. IDA will provide support and advice, but it is you who will drive the process from idea to reality.

We review all applications with a focus on supporting the ideas that have the best potential to create value for our members. In certain cases, we may have to reject an application – for example, if we assess that interest among members is too limited, if the event falls outside IDA's focus areas, or if it exceeds our financial framework.

Important: The IDA Fund does not support commercial events or applications from speakers or companies wishing to promote or sell a service. Our focus is on supporting member-driven initiatives where professionalism and community are at the centre.

Your application will be assessed by IDA's administration, and you will receive a response within 14 working days (may take longer during holidays) after you have submitted your application. Only IDA members can apply to the Fund.
