FIRST SESSION: The Strategic Landscape

The strategic landscape in the Baltic Sea region is undergoing rapid transformations, marked by Finland´s and Sweden’s membership of the NATO alliance. In this session, we dwell into the security dimensions resulting from Russia’s war in Ukraine, examining the far-reaching implications for Baltic security. With a particular focus on the southern reaches of the Baltic Sea, and the Russian enclave Kaliningrad Oblast our discussion unravels the consequences for military security in and around the southern Baltic Sea.
