Political lists in IDA: How they represent IDA's members
A political list is a group of IDA members who join forces to nominate candidates when elections are held every three years for the IDA Board of Representatives, also known as the IDA election. The lists in the IDA are therefore equivalent to the parties in a parliament.
The lists represent specific member groups or members with common interests – e.g. professional, career-related or in relation to collective agreements.
Each list is represented by a list coordinator.

Join a list: How to get started
If you are interested in political work as part of a list, you can read more about the lists and find contact information for the list coordinators further down. The lists are organised in different ways, so you will need to contact them directly to find out more about their work and your opportunities to participate.
All IDA members who have completed their education can stand for election in IDA and be elected to the Board of Representatives. Elections are held every three years, with the next one in 2028.
You can stand on one of the existing lists, or you can create a new list if you see a different path for IDA.
If you are a student member and would like to be politically active in IDA's Board of Representatives, please contact IDA STEM Students at idavalg@ida.dk to hear about the students' opportunities to exert influence.
