Your CV is often the first impression a new employer gets of you, as many recruiters read the CV first. That's why your CV determines whether or not you'll be called in for an interview.
A good CV is targeted at your potential new employer, giving them a quick overview of your competencies, skills, education and practical experience, and how and why you would be the right person for the new job.
If you have been in the labour market for many years, it can be difficult to keep your CV clear and concise while including all aspects of your skills.
IDA's career counselors talk to IDA members in STEM every day, and they read hundreds of CVs every year. They know what skills the industry is looking for and what you should emphasize in your CV. As a member, you can benefit from this knowledge when applying for jobs.
How to submit your CV to IDA
As a member of IDA, you can submit your CV and receive qualified feedback, input and ideas for your CV from career counsellors who know the market, the industry and perhaps even the workplace you are sending your CV to.

To get the most out of the advice on your CV, we recommend that you submit your CV when it is completely or almost completely finished. This will give you more in-depth and individual feedback on your specific CV. If you have a job advertisement or job posting, we would also like to see it so that we can assess how targeted your CV is. And if you would like our assessment of an application, you are welcome to send it along.
When you send us your material, you will typically receive a response within two working days.
IDA's career counsellors will review your CV if you have completed your education.
