About IDA Global Development
At IDA Global Development, we are passionate about debating and discussing current issues in global development. We aim to hold meetings approximately once every six weeks. The meetings usually take place in person at the IDA headquarters and are often also available online. Our membership profile is very diverse, which we believe contributes to the nuanced debates that characterise our meetings.
Examples of meetings over the past year include our discussion event on the fashion industry in Bangladesh, where we were joined by the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Denmark. We have also hosted the UN Mine Action Service, who provided an update on demining efforts in Ukraine, and held a debate on COP28 featuring current Danish representatives. All our meetings are free to attend, and typically include a sandwich and a bottle of water.
