Nominate a candidate for the IDA Connect Award 2026

Do you know a student, company, research project, or individual who has created innovative and socially beneficial solutions in telecommunications? Submit a nomination by October 4th 2026 at 11:59 pm.

The IDA Connect Award will once again be presented this year in two categories:

The annual Tele Conference will return this year on October 22nd #Tele2026. As part of the conference, IDA Connect will again present the IDA Connect Award. The prizes will be awarded in two categories: a Company/Person/Project Award and a Student Award.

The awards are intended to recognize a Danish based company, organization, research and innovation project or a person who has had particular importance in Denmark for the development and/or use of telecommunications in the past year or for several years. Performance must be of a user-friendly, technological, socio-economic, commercial, and/or economic nature and should be distinguished by its innovative, socially friendly, user-related and/or earnings potential.

The Company/Project/Person Award

The Company/Project/Person Award recognizes a Danish or foreign company, organization or person who has played a significant part in the development or use of telecommunications in Denmark during the past years. The performance must be of user needs, technological, socio-economic, or economic character and must stand out as an innovative, user-related, and societally beneficial solution.

Apply or nominate for the award by:

  • Describing the result/business idea with reference to the award criteria - max one A4 page
  • Emphasizing the innovative aspects of the project
  • Underlining why this particular company/organization/person should be awarded
  • Enter the name and contact information of the person, as well as any contributors or other stakeholders

The Student Award

The Student Award recognizes a Danish or foreign student (BSc, MSc or PhD) who has played a big part inside development, research, or the use of telecommunications in Denmark during the past years. The performance must be of user needs, technological, socio-economic, or economic character and must stand out as an innovative, user-related and societally beneficial solution.

Apply or nominate for the award by:

  • Describing the project with reference to the award criteria - max one A4 page
  • Emphasizing the innovative aspects of the project
  • Underlining why this project should be awarded
  • Enter the name and contact details of the student and the student’s supervisor

The deadline for applications is October 4th 2026 at 11:59 pm.
