Become a guest member of a foreign engineering association

Do you work abroad? As a member of IDA, you can become a guest member of a number of foreign engineering associations with which IDA has agreements.
As a guest member of a foreign engineering association, you can receive advice and member offers, receive newsletters or trade journals, and participate in member events on the same terms as the association's own members.
However, legal proceedings will only be conducted after agreement on any payment with the original organisation (IDA).
As a guest member, you do not have voting rights in elections and you are not eligible for positions of trust.
Guest membership is usually free for three years, after which you can become a paying member or resign.
Please note! Not all organisations function as counterparts to IDA, i.e. some function exclusively as trade associations and do not necessarily offer legal assistance.
How do I become a member of a foreign engineering association?
You can join a foreign engineering association by applying for guest membership with IDA, which will then contact the foreign organisation on your behalf. Please use the form below to contact IDA.
