Schjødt is a full-service law firm with in-depth insight and extensive experience in advising individuals with a background in technology, natural sciences, or IT.

In Denmark, Schjødt employs more than 90 attorneys and a total staff of over 125 people, based in the heart of Copenhagen. With offices in Norway, Sweden, and London, Schjødt is always able to assemble a strong team and deliver legal services across national borders.

Schjødt offers an initial consultation free of charge. Thereafter, depending on the nature of the matter, Schjødt offers either a fixed fee or a 20% discount on their standard hourly rates – always with your interests in mind.

In addition, Schjødt can assist with the establishment of a limited liability company (ApS or A/S) at a fixed price of DKK 2,500 excluding VAT, plus a mandatory fee of DKK 670 payable to the Danish Business Authority.

How to obtain the discount

Please contact Andreas Egeblad Arendt by email at andreas.egeblad@schjodt.com. In your email, simply state your phone number, the name and address of the company related to your enquiry, your IDA membership number, and briefly describe your legal matter.

Andreas will then contact you as soon as possible.

As part of the cooperation agreement with IDA, Schjødt can provide advice within the following legal areas, among others:

  • Corporate law, including the formation of limited liability companies, shareholders’ agreements, capital increases, investment agreements and other matters relating to investments, corporate restructurings, general assemblies, general advice on incentive and option programmes, and all other aspects of corporate law.
  • M&A advisory services, including business transfers, FinTech, venture capital, and all other aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
  • IT law advisory services, including advice on and review of licence terms, drafting IT contracts relating to development, operation and maintenance of IT systems, cybersecurity, use of open source, AI advisory services, consultancy agreements, licence agreements, subcontractor agreements, crisis management in connection with major IT incidents, and all other aspects of IT law.
  • Data protection, including advice on personal data, drafting policies, risk management, data security, whistleblower schemes, handling complaints before the Danish Data Protection Agency, and all aspects of GDPR.
  • Intellectual property law, including advice on copyright, registration and enforcement of trademarks and designs, protection of source code and trade secrets, assignment of intellectual property rights, drafting licence agreements, and other aspects of intellectual property law.
  • Commercial contracts, including advice on and drafting of customer agreements, supplier agreements, cooperation agreements, terms and conditions of sale and delivery, distribution agreements, agency agreements, confidentiality agreements, and all other aspects of contract law.
