Topic: How AI is Transforming Variable Speed Drives
Traditionally, VSDs were seen simply as motor controllers. Today, they are evolving into intelligent, adaptive systems and distributed data processors. This talk explores how AI is being leveraged across cloud, fog, and edge layers to push the boundaries of performance and reliability.
Key highlights of the presentation:
- Image Recognition: Using AI for automatic motor nameplate detection.
- Predictive Maintenance: Embedded condition monitoring and lifetime prediction of drive components.
- Optimization: Using Reinforcement Learning to enhance motor control and energy efficiency.
- The Future: A look at autonomous, self-learning drive systems that adapt without human intervention.
Our goal is to provide a realistic, concrete view of how AI is unlocking new value—improving energy savings, maintenance practices, and the overall user experience.
