Why?

Geopolitical developments have disrupted the digital world order, and Europe’s major challenge is to secure digital sovereignty. This requires building a European tech infrastructure and an ecosystem of tech entrepreneurs that are based on European values and democratic rights. At the same time, there will be increasing demand for IT graduates with new skills and a value-based approach – for example, with a focus on individual data control.
AI, digital services and research require data access, but there is decreasing trust and concern among citizens about sharing personal information. Interdisciplinarity, critical thinking and technological prowess come together to create solutions that regain citizens’ trust. And that is precisely the purpose of this case competition.
Future digital services, research and technology depend on citizens voluntarily sharing data. How can we create trust in a digital future?
