The presentation will owerall be entertaining, while it is fundamentally a tragic theme, and unfortunately also a part of the historic maritime development. Bruce Peter will describe some of the most significant fires opnboard passenger ships during the past 100 years.

Bruce Peter is Professor of Design History at Glasgow School of Art. He is also half-Danish and has - amongst other shipping related topics - written extensively about modern ship design with a special focus on Scandinavian shipbuilding and ship design.
