IDA NextGen: Wine Academy - How do you taste wine?

Description

How do you actually taste wine? That is the question you will be able to answer after the very first session of the IDA NextGen Wine Academy.

During this session, we will be guided and taught by sommelier Rasmus Dalgaard on proper tasting techniques and what to pay attention to in the glass. Rasmus brings hands-on experience from 1-star Michelin restaurants and runs his own import company, Fræk Vin. He will break down sensory mechanics into an informal, approachable, and repeatable method.

You will receive your own tasting grid (yours to keep and use throughout the entire academy, and forever after) and learn how to use it: assessing visual cues, aromatics, balance, acidity, tannin, and length.

Thinking, "I already know how to taste wine"? Fear not! This is just the beginning. The upcoming sessions in the IDA NextGen Wine Academy will cover:

• Grapes & wine styles worth knowing
• How wine is made
• Wine & food pairing

What is included:

• Guided Masterclass: A comprehensive session on how to taste wine led by a professional sommelier.
• Wine Tasting: We will taste approx. 6 different wines.

Networking:
IDA NextGen is all about networking! While there is no forced "speed-dating," we encourage everyone to be open, curious, and inclusive. This is a great opportunity to meet new people across disciplines, including those outside your immediate circle and international non-Danish speakers (the session is hosted in English).

• Arrival: Please show your ticket via the IDA app or email upon arrival.
• Cancellations: Must be made via www.mit.ida.dk before the deadline. A "no-show fee" of 300 DKK applies if you do not attend without canceling.
