IDA Private Sector Autumn Conference 2026

Practical Information

The conference is open exclusively to IDA members employed in the private sector and unemployed members whose most recent employment was in the private sector. A limited number of places are also available for elected union representatives and VG/AK chairpersons and vice-chairpersons in the private sector. Self-employed IDA members are not eligible to participate.

The conference will take place in person at Comwell Aarhus on 2–3 October 2026. Accommodation is included, and the conference includes dinner on Friday as well as breakfast and lunch on Saturday. Travel expenses are reimbursed up to DKK 800 per participant. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you need accommodation, please remember to choose overnight stay under options.

Cancellation deadline: 25 September 2026.

Failure to attend without prior cancellation will result in a no-show fee of DKK 500.

Friday – Stress and Well-being

• 14:00-14:30: Arrival, check-in and sandwiches
• 14:30-15:00: Welcome and introduction to IDA Private
• 15:00-17:30: Presentation on stress - extent, causes of stress and prevention including a break
• 17:30-17:45: Break
• 17:45-18:45: Presentation by Pia Hauge - PausePower and the importance of breaks in working life
• 18:45-19:00: Quiz about IDA 
• 19:00-22:00: Dinner and networking.

Saturday – Working Environment and Communities

• 08:00-09:00_ Breakfast
• 09:00-09:30: Workplace environment and IDA’s role in supporting it.
• 09:30-10:00: The Health and Safety Representative in practice.
• 10:00-10:45: Break and networking
• 10:45-11:15: How to establish and develop a company group or academic club
• 11:15-11:45: Break-out rooms - Dialogue and exchange of experiences on building  strong professional communities
• 11:45-12:30: Experiences from an existing academic club
• 12:30-13:30: Lunch
• 13:30-14:00: Wrap-up and evaluation
• 14:00-15:00: Opportunity for continued networking with fellow participant.

English interpretation

English interpretation will be offered if at least 12 English-speaking participants register for the conference.
