 These tiny organisms produce a remarkable range of molecules called isoprenoids, crucial for their survival and for life in the oceans. Isoprenoids come in many forms: some help algae capture sunlight, others protect them from stress, and many influence the organisms around them. For example, carotenoids are colorful molecules that shield algae from
UV light, while other specialized isoprenoids help shape entire ecosystems. 

Researchers are now beginning to harness this chemistry, turning microalgae into sustainable sources of valuable compounds. Join us to discover how these microscopic organisms connect fundamental biology with real-world innovation. "
