Digitalisation and AI

Digitalisation and AI are crucial, but we must digitalise wisely, ethically and in a sustainable manner, whilst respecting citizens’ rights. IDA is focusing on three key areas: data ethics and privacy, artificial intelligence and cyber security.

IDA influences the debate on the use of artificial intelligence through the SIRI Commission and participation in the government's expert group on data ethics.

Prudent, ethical and legally sound

These are the key principles underpinning IDA’s policies on IT, digitalisation and AI. As the voice of technology, IDA is, of course, enthusiastic about technology, IT, digitalisation and AI, and we are convinced that, through IT and digitalisation, we can take our society as a whole – and the well-being of each individual – to new heights.

But we must approach digitalisation wisely, in accordance with data ethics, and with the utmost respect for the data of individual consumers and citizens.

If we fail to do so, we will lose trust in digitalisation and, with it, its potential.
