IDA's Competency Profile: Find your competencies

IDA's skills profile helps you clarify your skills, whether you are a recent graduate or an experienced professional. Having an overview of your skills makes it easier for you to find the right job or develop in the right direction.

Can you lead a project and manage the finances? Are you an empathetic and skilled human resources manager who can make your employees thrive and perform? Can you make razor-sharp strategic analyses, or are you good at negotiating contracts with suppliers? Maybe you have knowledge of a professional area such as power supplies, Python, quality assurance or similar?

Regardless, IDA's competency profile can help you clarify all the competencies you use every day at work, or that you have learned during your education or further training. The goal is to give you a picture of all your competencies and thus shed light on opportunities in your career that you may not have previously considered.

Who is the competency profile aimed at?

Everyone can benefit from mapping their competencies. IDA's competency profile can therefore be used by everyone, regardless of where you are in your career.

How long will it take me?

IDA's career advisors recommend that you spend a few hours going into depth with your competency profile. It is important to be thorough in order to shed light on all the competencies you possess, and perhaps have not yet noticed. Afterwards, you will have a very detailed catalog of all your skills that you can continuously use and expand for the rest of your career.

What can I use the Competency Profile for?

You can use your competency profile on an ongoing basis when you need to highlight your strengths, for example during an employee development interview, when applying for a new job, or during salary negotiations. It is also a good idea to bring your competency profile with you when you meet with one of IDA's career advisors.

How do I do it?

Select the competency profile that best fits your current situation. The competency profile will open in a new window, after which you can save it to your computer. You can either choose to complete the competency profile electronically via the interactive form, or you can print it out and complete it by hand.
