OK26 collective agreement
IDA recommends: Vote "Yes" to the new OK26 collective agreements

The Council of Employees and IDA Public Sector recommend that IDA’s members in the public sector vote YES to the overall outcome of the 2026 public sector collective bargaining negotiations – also known as OK26:
‘We have achieved a very strong result in the state, municipal and regional sectors – a result that not only ensures an expected increase in real salaries, but also provides individuals with even better opportunities and flexibility.’
These are the words of Malene Matthison-Hansen, chair of the Council of Employees, who has participated in the negotiations on behalf of IDA.
Pay rises to improve real income
General pay rises of at least 6.27 per cent over the three-year period have been agreed; with an estimated inflation rate of 4.4 per cent over the period, a rise in real income is therefore expected, which was IDA’s main demand.
New flexible pay account offers flexibility – choose between extra salary, pension or time off
A flexible pay account has also been agreed to come into effect on 1 January 2028, offering the option to choose between salary, pension and time off, as well as one flexible day for employees who are not entitled to care days or seniority days.
'The flexible pay account marks a clear break with the past and gives employees real influence over how their working lives are organised. We are thus setting a clear and very ambitious course for flexibility,' says Malene Matthison-Hansen.
Family package improves conditions during parental leave and when children are ill
The agreement also includes a family package that provides better conditions for families with children. The package offers many improvements to parental leave conditions and the option to stay at home on the day a child is called home from daycare, and for three days thereafter.
Further key elements
Whilst the vast majority of the financial framework in all three areas is prioritised for pay, the collective agreement renewal also includes other elements. These include, amongst others:
- A special initiative during the period to jointly reduce work-related stress.
- The state, municipal and regional skills fund will be continued, thereby maintaining the opportunity to apply for funding for further training and skills development.
