OK26: Public sector collective bargaining

Overwhelming ‘YES’ vote for new collective agreements from IDA members
A total of 7,633 IDA members employed by the state, municipalities and regions cast their votes in IDA’s ballot on new collective agreements for academics in the public sector – also known as OK26.
The turnout was therefore 39.5%. A clear majority chose to vote YES – the votes were distributed as follows:
Yes: 94% (7,201 votes)
No: 6% (432 votes)
Back-pay for pay rises will be paid from 1 April 2026
Once the new collective agreements under OK26 have been finalised and signed, the agreed pay rises will come into effect from 1 April 2026.
Check your payslip
The pay rises cover your entire fixed salary:
- Basic salary
- Any allowances
Although the pay rises take effect from April, they will only appear on your payslip a little later. This is expected to be with your May or June salary.
Any salary not paid immediately will, of course, be back-paid from 1 April 2026.
State employees – please note
Due to the general election, the outcome for the state sector will not be forwarded to the state employer, the Agency for Labour Market and Competence, until 6 May, even though the election result has now been published.
This may cause a delay in the implementation of the state sector agreement. However, everything will be implemented with retroactive effect.
