IDA's demands for OK26: What the negotiations are about

See what demands IDA has for employers in the state, municipalities and regions when we negotiate new collective agreements for public sector employees in 2026 – also known as OK26.

Salary is first priority

IDA's publicly employed members are demanding pay rises that match market levels. This makes pay IDA's top priority in OK26.

In addition, members are calling for greater influence over their working lives, including flexible working hours and better opportunities to balance work and private life. Finally, members want a free choice scheme that not only allows them to convert their salary into pension, but also gives them the right to freedom.

When will the negotiations take place?

The initial negotiations will begin in January. There will be activity at the negotiating tables throughout the winter months, and if all goes well, IDA expects that we will have reached our goal by the end of February with agreements on new collective agreements for employees in the state, regions and municipalities, respectively. The plan is for the new collective agreements and contracts to come into force on 1 April 2026.
