Have a cup of coffee with an experienced manager
What can you expect?
Whether you are newly qualified or more experienced in the labour market is not important, as long as you are interested in discussing the management path. However, it is important to point out that the coffee meetings are not for members who are already managers.
If you register for the coffee meeting, we will match you with an experienced manager, where you can freely ask all your questions about management work during one coffee meeting. Through your questions, you can find out whether the management path is something for you. Examples of questions you could ask the experienced IDA member are:
- What have been your initial steps in relation to getting to work with management?
- What is challenging and inspiring about working with management?
- What are the most important personal competencies in relation to being a good leader?
- What good advice do you have regarding building a professional profile aimed at management?
What is expected of you?
When you are matched with an experienced management member, you are expected to be the proactive one. You establish contact, send proposals for meeting times and prepare for the meeting.
As part of the offer, you will receive a number of tips & tricks that you can use in your preparation. It includes i.a. good advice for networking and questions to ask.
How do you sign up and what is the process like?
Register by filling out the form in the link. We run three rounds of coffee meetings per year. If we find a good match, you will receive a match email where you are introduced to each other. Here you are asked to contact the experienced manager and arrange a coffee meeting.
We hope that you have the time and desire to drink a cup of coffee and learn more.
Are you a manager and willing to share your expertise?
We are also looking for managers who want to share their knowledge and experience with other IDA members who are interested in management.
