IDA's salary statistics are valid and reliable
If your employer calls IDA’s salary statistics into question, claiming that they rather indicate the trade union’s wishful thinking, you may assure them that IDA’s salary statistics are very reliable.
The salary levels in IDA’s salary statistics are largely comparable to those of DI’s statistics.
IDA’s analysis department explains in a memo that when the different salary definitions and the various populations have been accounted for, the salary levels for the two groups of engineers are practically identical in the statistics from DI and IDA respectively.
Thus we at IDA believe that IDA’s salary statistics are a very reliable tool for our members to use when negotiating salaries with their employers.

Salary development: Differences between IDA and DI's calculations
For the individual, calculating salary development from one year to the next will typically be relatively simple. But when it needs to cover a larger group, there are a number of issues that need to be considered. The memo is published July 2024
