Using 3D discrete event simulations to optimize logistic

By leveraging advanced 3D discrete event simulations in our projects, NIRAS helps uncover design errors early and enhances logistical efficiency across diverse sectors, including pharmaceutical production, food & beverage, health care, warehousing and more. These simulations enable detailed analysis and optimization of complex logistical processes, leading to significant improvements in operational performance for our clients. The visual 3D environment of the simulation gives insights into the living process and helps to create alignment between stakeholders. Through a few project cases, attendees will gain an understanding of the practical applications of 3D simulations, showcasing how NIRAS addresses industry-specific challenges and drives continuous improvement in logistics management.

Bio: Martin is a control systems engineer with 15+ years’ experience, working for the Supply Chain & Logistics department of Niras as a programmer, simulations developer and supply chain management specialist. His primary focus is on production planning and design optimization through simulation and data analysis.
