As a ph.d. in FOSS R&D, you will have a high responsibility in developing our new products. Typically, you will work in project groups with people representing many other technical disciplines, and you will be involved in the development process from the initial conceptualization to the final transfer to operations. You will have a significant impact on the performance and success of new products, and you will also be engaged with customers in the development process. FOSS prioritizes a good work-balance environment, and you can plan your daily work schedule with high flexibility. The most relevant technical disciplines in FOSS R&D are data science, physics/optics, chemistry, mechanics, electronics and SW-development.
