The rise of capable foundation models built on Generative AI (GenAI) is driving a major shift in knowledge work: an agentic shift, where machines begin to take on increasingly autonomous roles in cognitive tasks across diverse domains. This talk examines how GenAI’s strengths in generating, analyzing, and reasoning over text are already impacting the domain of project risk management.
Following a brief introduction to GenAI and agentic AI systems, the talk focuses on two real-world use cases, already implemented in the field. The first deep-dive will be on AI-driven proposal management, with an emphasis on the use of GenAI to generate automated risk assessments that inform both contract negotiation and project planning. The second presents a case study on applying GenAI to navigate complex legal environments by analyzing regulations, process manuals, and related documents to identify key obligations and risks.
Together, these cases show how GenAI is already now becoming an important tool in the tool box of human experts when navigating complex risk landscapes.
