Neurodivergent at work

Are you neurodivergent and feel like you face different challenges in you work life than the majority? Do you want to connect and share experiences with like-minded people? Join IDA’s facilitated peer group for neurodivergent members.

The peer group is a confidential space where members set the agenda. At the peer group meetings, you have the opportunity to share experiences, discuss challenges, and explore topics that are relevant to your work life. You can also inspire one another by discussing the unique strengths and abilities associated with neurodiversity.

The peer group is facilitated

The group is guided by facilitators who are responsible for planning and leading the meetings. They ensure that the agenda is followed, helping the group work towards the desired common goals. This provides a clear structure for the meeting, ensuring that everyone brings something valuable home from the meeting.

Every meeting has an agenda

In collaboration with the facilitators, the members set the framework for the peer group meetings and how to work together in a group setting. At each meeting, the members decide on the topic for the next meeting. The group’s facilitators then prepare a plan for the meeting that ensures that the desired topic is treated in depth.

It is acceptable to leave the meeting along the way if it is needed.

Suggestions for topics you can work with in the group:

  • How open should you be about your diagnosis?
  • Teamwork and professional relationships
  • Navigating unwritten rules in the workplace
  • Structure and productivity in your work life
  • Specific needs and how to accomodate them; fx related to sensory challenges
