Ageing process facilities must continuously adapt to evolving technologies, regulatory requirements, and risk expectations. But how can modifications be implemented safely without introducing new hazards?

In this event, Christine Thomsen (Crossbridge Energy) and Christian Schovsbo (BP) share practical experience from managing modifications in operating process plants. Through real-life examples and case studies, they will discuss Management of Change (MoC), risk identification, risk assessment, and the unique challenges of brownfield projects. The presentation will explore how organizations evaluate and manage risks associated with equipment upgrades, safety improvements, and facility modifications, while maintaining safe and reliable operations in ageing assets.
