Privacy in an Interconnected World

Description:

Digital systems are becoming increasingly connected. We use smart homes, online platforms, AI tools, connected vehicles, and digital services every day. These systems collect and process large amounts of data, often in ways that are difficult for users to understand or control.

This talk discusses why privacy and security are not only technical problems, but also human and design problems. We will look at real examples of tracking, behavioral profiling, phishing and social engineering, usable authentication, and trustworthy AI. The talk will also discuss important trade-offs between security, privacy, and usability.

The main question is: how can we design digital systems that people can actually understand, use, and trust?

The presentation will combine research insights, real-world examples, and interactive discussion.
