Danish Technological Institute is an independent and not-for-profit institution that develops, applies, and disseminates research and technology-based knowledge to the Danish industry and public sector.
In addition, the Institute carries out consultancy and standardization activities, which contribute to a dynamic and harmonious social development. The Center for Refrigeration and Heat Pump Technology specializes in R&D, laboratory testing, modeling and analysis as well as in energy screening within refrigeration and heat pump technology, solar energy and industrial processes and energy consumption in buildings (smart energy and sector coupling).
Our pursuits include all activities from research and development projects to consultancy, courses and testing of products in our six main laboratories located at two locations in Aarhus and Taastrup near Copenhagen.
DTU Civil and Mechanical Engineering (DTU Construct) develops and utilises science and technical knowledge for the benefit of society and the sustainable development. We undertake research, education, innovation, and scientific advice within building design and processes, building construction and safety, building energy and services, solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, materials technology, manufacturing engineering, engineering design and thermal energy systems.
In the field of thermal engineering we focus on solutions for the green transition based on renewable sources such as biomass, wind and sun. The research and teaching in the field of is focused on optimisation of systems as units for power production, refrigeration, heat pumps, internal combustion engines, and biomass use. We apply numerical modelling of systems and components and develop simulation tools for these. Experimental research includes facilities for
research on heat transfer in refrigeration, heat pump systems, and power cycles.
The department works in close collaboration with industrial partners on projects related to high-temperature heat pumps, heat pump components, e.g., evaporator defrosting, digital twins of heat pumps, solar-driven cooling units, and working fluid selection.
Dansk Køl & Varme is the trade association for authorized cooling and heat pump companies in Denmark (including the Faroe Islands and Greenland). Dansk Køl & Varme is an independent trade association and is not part of other business or employer organisations.
Our mission is to bring together all interested companies in the refrigeration and heat pump area and to safeguard the technical, financial and legal interests of these companies. This involves, among other things, guidance of the association's members as well as contact with relevant authorities.
As an organisation, we have three key issues: Quality, legal work and green transition.
The Danish Refrigeration & Heat Pump Association is a technical association whose purpose is to promote knowledge of refrigeration and heat pump systems in all the different areas of application. The association is aimed at everyone who works with or is interested in cooling and heat pump technology and
with related technologies.
The Danish Refrigeration & Heat Pump Association is a superstructure of the Danish Refrigeration Association and IDA Refrigeration and Heat Pump Technology (formerly the Society for Refrigeration Technology). Contact DKVF or at mail@dkvf.dk
