Heat Pumping Technologies: Trends, Research, and Development

Heat pumping technologies offer sustainable and intelligent solutions for heating, cooling, and refrigeration across a wide range of sectors, including residential and commercial buildings, district heating and cooling networks, supermarket refrigeration, and data centers. In this talk, I present the latest trends and research developments in heat pumping technologies, covering advances from component and system design to system integration, as well as the application of artificial intelligence and digitalization to enable innovative, data-driven energy services.

About the speaker:

Hatef Madani is Professor and Head of Division of Applied Thermodynamics and Refrigeration, Department of Energy Technology at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden.  Beside research and teaching in Academia, Hatef is working closely with research institutes and industries in Europe and he is currently Principal Scientist at Austrian Institute of Technology as well as Vice president of Commission E2 in International Institute of Refrigeration.
