PRINCE2® 7 Foundation
This course in PRINCE2® 7 Foundation gives you a basic knowledge of the PRINCE2® 7 method and the principles behind it.
PRINCE2® 7 Foundation differs from the previous PRINCE2® Foundation 6th edition in that there is a new chapter called 'People', which contains 3 subsections focusing on:
- Change management – in relation to stakeholders and in relation to profit realization
- Management of successful teams – with a focus on management and motivation of the project team
- Communication – with a focus on communication within the framework of the project, but also in relation to the project's stakeholders
This means that, in addition to methods and principles, there is also a focus on the human and structural changes that are needed to realize the benefits of a project.
"Sustainability", in the form of the UN's 17 global goals, has also been added to the method. Sustainability has been added as a new 7th performance measure where previously there were 6: yield, time, risk, cost, quality and scope. It is a central positioning of sustainability at the heart of the method.
"Data and digital" is also a new area, which is about how you can use data and digital technologies to support project management, but also the execution of the project.
After the course, you will be able to get more involved in projects and have an overview of approaches, processes and procedures. You can also help manage projects successfully on target with reduced risk of exceeding deadlines and budgets.
On the course you go through:
- Processes, principles and themes in PRINCE2® 7
- Content and preparation of a business case
- Overview of the project process
- Composition of project organization and distribution of roles and responsibilities
- Understanding of the customer, the supplier and the business in the project
- Product breakdown and planning
- Estimation of time and resources
- The project's quality management and control
- Identification and analysis of threats and opportunities
- Embedding and adapting PRINCE2® 7 to the organization

It is relevant if you work in projects – either as a project participant, team leader or project manager.
In order to get the most out of the course, it is an advantage that you have experience of working in projects. However, there are no prior requirements to complete a course in PRINCE2® 7 Foundation.
