Career development and work life

Get a greater insight into your ambitions, competencies and strengths as a professional, with the goal to make smarter decisions about your future career.

Knowing yourself is the best way to stay in control of your career path and work life. For that reason, it is useful to be curious about yourself early in your professional life.

Maybe you have already asked questions like;

What are my strengths and weaknesses? What gives me a sense of purpose, motivates me, demotivates me and bores me?

For many of IDAs members, one consideration is particularly prevalent when it comes to career planning and development; do I want to be a specialist or go in the direction of leadership?

These questions are not simple or easy to answer. They demand a degree of self-reflection that can be difficult to achieve on your own.

In IDAs peer group you will meet likeminded professionals, who can relate to the situation you are in. In a confidential space, you will train your ability to make smart decisions in your work life. The peer group meetings are based on mentoring, feedback and sharing experiences. The goal is to enable you to take active steps towards the professional life that serves you best.

You can join the peer group if you have 2-7 years os work experience and are currently employed. The peer group meetings will take place physically in Copenhagen, so it is preferred that members are based in region Sjælland or hovedstaden.

You choose the themes

The peer group takes a point of departure in cases from your working lives and careers.  Our tools are mentoring and discussion, case work and visits from external experts who can contribute with new insights. Your interests serve as the foundation for the peer group, and you can contribute with ideas for subjects, cases or presentations that facilitate a valuable discussion. The group is confidential and a safe space for you to discuss current challenges with like-minded individuals who are not personally invested in your workplace.
